Admission to New England Classical Academy is by application only. Admissions decisions are based on the candidate's academic qualifications, teacher recommendations, and a family interview. Candidates for the Upper School must also take an entrance examination.

We are looking for highly motivated students who can benefit from the unique liberal arts education we provide. Upper School candidates should possess solid academic skills and preparation, a strong work ethic, and the desire to succeed in a rigorous, college preparatory environment.

Step 1

Attend an informational meeting or explore our website to find out more about the Academy's mission and curriculum.

Step 2

Complete and submit the New Student Application Packet with a $50 per student processing fee. Applications are processed on a first-come-first-served basis for any available classroom openings.

Step 3

Send the Records Release form and the School Recommendation form included in the application packet to your child’s current school. Records and recommendations should be mailed directly to New England Classical Academy as soon as possible. Home schoolers should submit a portfolio of their two most recent math tests and two recently completed written assignments. The results of any standardized tests and any grades earned should be likewise submitted by all students. Upon enrollment in the Academy, all students must also submit a record of completed immunizations, or a medical or religious exemption statement.

Step 4

The Academy has a limited amount of financial aid available. If you wish to apply for aid, please send a copy of your most recent tax return and a letter explaining your need in a sealed envelope to the Scholarship Committee, in care of the Academy.   In the interest of privacy and fairness, aid requests are handled anonymously. The committee's decisions are based on the amount of aid available and the number of requests received. Because of limited resources, the committee's decisions are final.

Step 5

Upper School applicants should contact the school office to schedule an entrance exam. A completed application form must be submitted with the application fee before the exam can be scheduled. Applicants are asked to dress nicely for the exam.

Step 6

Participate in a personal interview. Applicants and their parent(s) must attend the interview. The purpose of the interview is to discuss the philosophy and policies of the Academy, review the academic qualifications of the applicant, and ascertain whether the goals of the Academy are embraced by the parents and the student.
